Saturday 23rd August - walks ** – Felixstowe Ferry ant the Prom –
mainly cloudy.
Walk 1 – Felixstowe Ferry.
After a nice phone call from our son in Devon I decided to drive down to
Felixstowe Ferry to see the large fleet of racing dinghies set-up and head
out, sadly I was too late and the 50, 420,s were already sailing out to sea
but it was still quite a sight! I was crowded at the Ferry with people
camping for the event so I parked just past the old chapel and walked back
to the boatyard taking a few weather pics before heading for home!
Walk 2 – Around Felixstowe.
Managed my exercises in the back garden with only brief glimpses of sun
while Mag potters in the garden! We had a brief visit from our son Dan who
was having an afternoon on the beach before preparing tonights dinner we
set off for a short walk, down to the cliff top at the end of our road, my
sunglasses are really bent so we made a detour to Specsavers who did their
best to straighten them before continuing down to the prom bast Harvest
house! Back through the Spa gardens for a welcome cuppa before we had a
bonus visit from the Granddaughter with her Mum and Dad, the roast chicken
was delicious too!
